After day 7, the "Varisu" box office collection suggests that Vijay's film will be the first Indian film to earn Rs 200 crore in 2023. The opening weekend of Ajith's film has become his all-time best collection, and it is also doing well overseas.

"Thunivu" has exceeded Rs. 100 crores domestically, and the film is estimated to have made between Rs. 120 and Rs. 125 crores in India. In a few days, Ajith's movie is expected to earn Rs. 200 crore. However, the film has failed to compete with "Varisu" at the box office, as the Vijay starrer has earned more than Ajith's film in almost every location.
