The upcoming film from Vijay is titled "Varisu," and it will also be released simultaneously in Telugu as "Vaarasudu." The Telugu version was also anticipated to be released on the same date, while the Tamil version was scheduled to hit theaters on January 11. However, the Telugu version of "Varisu," "Vaarasudu," has been moved to January 14, so Vijay will miss the pre-release event. Fans were shocked by today's Telugu pre-release event for Vaarasudu in Hyderabad because the main cast and crew were absent and only Srikanth, the producer and Telugu actor, attended. Also, Dil Raju has said that "Vaarasudu" will come out on Jan. 14 because two big Telugu releases for Sankranti, "Walter Veeraiya" by Chiranjeevi and "Veera Simha Reddy" by Nandamuri Balakrishna, are scheduled to come out on Jan. 12. This could affect the Telugu version of "Varisu."

However, Dil Raju has said that Vijay will come to Hyderabad Vaarasudu has not yet been censored, which may also have led to the film's delay. On the other hand, the Telugu actor Srikanth has confirmed that he will soon appear in additional Tamil films and expressed his joy at starring in a Tamil film.

The Tamil version of "Varisu" will open at 4 a.m. IST on the date that was announced, January 11. Because Vijay's "Varisu" and Ajith's "Thunivu" are both coming out on the same day, theater owners have split their screens so that they can show both films equally.

Now that the first overseas review for "Varisu" has been released, people are praising Vijay's performance.
