With the release of actor Vijay's film "Varisu" yesterday, January 11, 2023, prior to Pongal, it appears that an announcement regarding his next project is imminent. Although it is common knowledge that actor Vijay will direct his next movie, which is titled "Thalapathy 67" at this time, the official announcement is expected to be made on Pongal on January 15.
Gautham Menon, the film's director, recently said that he was in Lokesh Kanagaraj's movie. "Thalapathy 67" is also said to have roles for Bollywood actors Sanjay Dutt, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Trisha, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Arjun Sarja. In the meantime, Lokesh Kanagaraj had confirmed that the movie would be an action comedy.
Fans are eagerly anticipating the project's official announcement due to a lot of speculation regarding the cast and whether or not the movie will be part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). There is a rumor that a teaser video for the project announcement has been made, similar to what Kamal Haasan's "Vikram" had.
